buffet for the fishes *

JiaWei and I were pretty attracted to the Fish Spa at Singapore Flyer's Kenko the other day. However, we decided to go for the cheaper alternative, which is the one at Qian Hu.

There is free shuttle bus service, but it's only available on weekends and PH. For more information, can check out their website. No shuttle bus service for us, cause we went on a weekday. The thrifty us wanna save money on cab, so we decided to take a bus from Choa Chu Kang to nearby, then we walk in. Oh well, it's a wrong decision!

Firstly, we alighted at the wrong stop.
Secondly, we took the path along the right side of the canal. There's a long trail of oily mud.

After a few steps, we gave up and turned back, and took the path along the left side of the canal. Along the way, I was playing with Lalangs.

Happily walked for around 15 minutes, we saw a very bad thingy.

Yes, you're right. A DEAD END!

Then, we looked to our right, the muddy path, and we saw this:

It's not dead end la! KNS!

Look at the path!

So we walked back to the bus stop, took the bus, alighted two stops later, and yes, that's the RIGHT stop!

If you wanna save money on cab and don't mind a 15 minutes walk to the fish farm, ask me, I'll tell you which stop to alight.

While on our way to Qian Hu, we had an "uninvited guest".

Tell me, are we really that unlucky?

And the worst thing came, blisters forming on my left toes!

JiaWei is probably the nicest guy I've ever met.
We were delighted when we saw this:

Took a rest at the cafe..

Next, we proceeded for our spa~

SGD$10 for 30 minutes.
There are two ponds, one is for the smaller fishes, another is for the bigger fishes (for bigger sensations). Well, we headed for the smaller one first.

Count us lucky, we were the only two there. A huge swarm of fishes!

That's JiaWei's hairy leg!

Okay, I admit I'm really timid. I don't dare to put my whole legs in, only my heels on the surface of the water.

And he was already enjoying the process of having softer and smoother skin.

20 minutes had passed, we decided to check out the bigger fishes.

To prove that I'm not coward, I tried the bigger fish too.
Seconds later, I said, "I think I like the smaller fishes more."
And I went back to "feed" the smaller fishes, this time round, both of my feet were in the water.

Finally, I overcome my fear, but I only left with 5 minutes. Haha!
Never mind, will definitely go back for more.

After drying our legs with the free towel, we took a little tour around the place.

JiaWei, being the Super Nonsense, he actually commanded the tortoises for photo-taking session.

We also went to see Arrowana (Dragon Fish)..

I guess it worth more than 7K.

Fighting Fish.

I actually took this picture and showed it, no reaction.
Then I showed it to another Fighting Fish, it works this way too. There are some reactions from another fish. LOL!

Dead beat. Took some rest, got some drinks, and booked a cab.

Oh man, look at my heavy eye bags! Tsk tsk!

Back to Lot 1, headed to Sakae for our long awaited sushi buffet!

My all-time favourites: Salmon and Ika.

Not forgetting Chawanmushi:

This is the Udon Chawanmushi.
I still prefer the normal one.

Fried stuffs are all his. Tsk tsk, unhealthy huh?

Together we consumed 24 plates of sushi.

Did you try counting the plates and then realise it's actually 20 not 24?

You aren't wrong. The picture only shows 20 plates, another 4 plates of sushi were consumed after taking this picture.

Desserts. I absolutely love the Peach Mochi Ice Cream.

A sumif of what we had eaten:
- 1 bowl of Miso soup
- 2 Chawanmushi
- 2 plates of Edamame
- 5 plates of fried stuffs
- 17 plates of sushi
