unbearable pain *

My agenda for today:
  • Do some spring cleanings
  • DIY manicure and pedicure
But none of them is done.
It's not because I'm feeling lazy or what, it's merely because my back pain is back again!

Super sharp pain I tell you! And it's my whole back, especially my waist area, that I can't even stand and sit. So I've been lying on my bed since morning. Tears automatically flow down my cheeks when I get up to use the toilet. And I've to wipe my tears away and psycho-ed myself by saying, "YiShi is a strong girl!"

Thus, the only things I did today were blogging, chatting, forum-ing, friendster-ing, and wiki-ing.

Wiki-ing started when I asked a simple question:
"What's the difference between octopus and squid?"

And JiaWei drew this:

But the images in our head are so different from the real images.

Check this out if you wanna get what I mean:Jiawei says:
and how big do you think squids can grow to ?
yishi says:
hmm, give me choices la
Jiawei says:
a laptop, a fridge, a car, a bus
yishi says:
hmm.. a laptop?
Jiawei says:
eh ..
yishi says:
don't tell me bus hor
Jiawei says:
give you a hint
squids we see are baby ones
in deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepppppppppppppppppppp
reallllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy deep oceans hor
got BIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG monsters lurking beneath de
a giant squid can have eyes the size of a plate

I feel so ignorant! He actually know all these when he was young.
Do you?

Read this short article if you're interested to know too: Colossal Squid Caught off Antarctica

I know I'm slow to read this 2007 article now, but I believe there are people who do not know about this yet. =)

And slowly, we linked to Cuttlefish, Angler Fish, and Piranha.

Cause we mentioned dark water, and that reminds me of Alligator and Crocodile. So we read up on them too.

Top 10 Useless Body Parts *

something to share..

10. Plica semilunaris
You may not know it, but you have a third eyelid. Pull open the two more noticeable eyelids and take a look - it's located right in the corner by the tear duct. This small third eyelid is left over from what's known as a "nictitating membrane," which is still present in full form in some animals including chickens, lizards and sharks.

9. Body hair
No doubt we were once hairier. Up until about 3 million years ago, we were covered with body hair. But by the time Homo erectus arrived, the ability to sweat meant we could shed our woolly ways.

8. Sinuses
Doctors don't really know much about sinuses - only that we have a lot of them. Possibilities for their function range from insulating our eyes to changing the pitch and tone of our voice.

7. Adenoids
Adenoids trap bacteria, but they're also prone to swelling and infection. Just ask any 7-year-old. Luckily, our adenoids shrink with age and are often removed, along with ...

6. Tonsils
Also prone to swelling and infection. If you still have them when you reach your 30s, it's almost an accomplishment.

5. Coccyx
More useful as a game-winning Scrabble word than as part of the anatomy, the coccyx or tailbone, is made up of several fused vertebrae left over from the olden days when we had tails.

4. Arrector pili
When we were hairier (see No. 9), the arrector pili made the hairs stand on end when we needed to appear bigger and scarier. Now, it just gives us goose bumps.

3. Wisdom teeth
Back in the day, when we ate mammoth meat off the bone and didn't floss afterward, our teeth tended to fall out. Therefore, when those reserve molars, aka "wisdom teeth," came in, they were welcomed. Nowadays, fluoride and dental plans have made them just a huge pain.

2. Appendix
Darwin claimed the appendix was useful for digestion during our early plant-eating years; it's dwindled down to little since we started eating more digestible foods.

1. Male nipples
Because, why?

LOL!

20 makeup tips *

saw this while tidying up my files and folders in my precious laptop.
read it 2 to 3 years ago, from either forum or CLEO.

shall share with girls who wear makeup. =)

1. If you're wearing eye makeup only, unless you have absolutely perfect skin, you should wear foundation and powder (maybe concealer). Wearing eye makeup accentuates flaws like crazy, and if you have no foundation or powder on, you generally will look unfinished, and blemishes or redness will be magnified.

2. If you have problems with redness in the cheeks, avoid pink blushes and go for neutrals. Pinks will magnify the flushed colour.

3. Green colour correctors are also great for redness, but go very light and make sure you blend until the green is not visible.

4. If you're a brunette, wear a brow colour one shade lighter than your hair. If you're a blonde, wear a brow color one shade darker. Anything too far away from this is going to look unnatural.

5. When wearing very frosty shadows on the lower lid and crease (especially pigments), wear a matte color on the browbone. otherwise there is too much shine. This will also accent the pretty frost colours and give your eyes more of a deep set look. If you wear a frost on the browbone, apply it very lightly and dust off the excess. Shimmers are better for this than frosts or glitters.

6. When applying loose pigments, be sure to hold a tissue under the eye you're working on, and also pat the color onto the lid. Do not sweep, otherwise you will get pigment all over your face. Trying to remove pigment under the eye with a sponge or tissue, or just blend it into your makeup, will cause you to look as if you have dark circles, maybe even shiny dark circles.

7. If you accidentally get glitter on your face, use a little masking tape to remove it. It should leave your makeup unscathed.

8. Blend your makeup, good brushes is the key. Harsh edges with shadows and blush work well for edgy runway looks or for darker club-wear looks, but don't look so great for the day time. Good brushes will take any drugstore makeup and make it look professional.

9. When highlighting cheeks with something frosty, work from the pupil of the eye outward to the hairline. Anything close to the t-zone is going to accentuate large pores and make your face look oily.

10. Dark glosses usually need lipliner, otherwise it lacks definition.

11. Pale glosses looks great on most people, even without liner. But colours that are too white will make you look washed out.

12. When using the 263 or 266 brush (M.A.C's brushes) with shadow for lining, press the brush into the lashline and wiggle it. Then start the next part of the line just overlapping the one you just did. If you try to draw all the way across, you may get fallout shadow on your face again, which is a disaster with dark colors.

13. Shape brows by plucking or waxing. The best makeup job in the world will look sloppy if your brows are unkempt.

14. Lip liner should be very close to the shade of lipstick or lipgloss you're wearing. Dark liner and pale gloss or lipstick look a little dated and very unnatural.

15. It is important to get mascara on the tops of your lashes, especially if they are noticeably covered in eyeshadow. To get the whole lash covered, as you are sweeping the brush up from the underside, gently move it from side to side.

16. It is also very important to brush out clumpy lashes, nobody loves the spider legs look.

17. Take days off from wearing makeup! Your face needs a break.

18. There is no better beauty treatment than drinking tons and tons of water.

19. Wash your brushes often or your colours will start to look really muddy and go on uneven.

20. Rules are made to be broken! Sometimes breaking the rules can be beautiful. Remember, makeup is fun and you can always wash it off, so don't be afraid to experiment!

Rabbit *

Rabbit is an indescribable feeling, a kind of silly happiness that leaves you dumbfounded for the entire day, a spontaneous split second that changes your whole life's events. Rabbit heightens your senses, presents new perspectives, tempts you to destroy preconceived mindsets, challenges you to relearn your experiences. Rabbit redefines the meaning of your thoughts and surroundings, re-orientates existing value systems, and leaves you high.

Have you found your Rabbit today?

=)
i'm sorry for being inconsiderate;
i'm sorry for not putting myself in your shoes;
i'm sorry for being so obstinate.
sometimes i just tend to do/say things without considering the consequences.
thank you for the call!
i just can't think properly last night.
or should i say, certain nights.
